CME Credits
European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®)
The 18th EGS Residents’ Course, Lisbon, Portugal, 03/10/2024-04/10/2024 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 13.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity (7 credits on 3/10, 6.5 credits on 4/10).
“Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org.
“Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”
Procedure
AIn order to receive CME credits for your participation, make sure to scan the Qrcode to fill out the CME questionnaire at the end of the course.
The CME questionnaire has to be completed by 22/10 at 23:59(CEST).
EBO
The harmonisation of European education in ophthalmology is one of the task forces of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO) promoted by the EU to increase mobility of health care practitioners within Europe. The European Network of Education for Trainees (ENET) is an EBO initiative offering a teaching programme for European residents by building a European network of European teachers and teaching programmes by different national and international scientific societies covering all fields of subspecialties in ophthalmology. Quality of this teaching programme is guaranteed through accreditation.
The EBO accredited courses will be indicated with the EBO logo in the courses program.
